Hilda MacNamara, age 83, a resident of the Beverly Health Care Center, Tunkhannock, PA. and formerly of South Gibson, PA. died Saturday morning, June 4, 2005 at the nursing home. She was the wife of the late Carleton A. MacNamara, who died February 22, 2000. Born June 20, 1921 in Susquehanna County, PA. She was the daughter of the late Sherwood and Silome (Richardson) Coil. She was a graduate of the Nicholson High School and was of the Methodist Faith. She was a charter member of the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488 Ladies Auxiliary from May 7, 1950 to 2000. She enjoyed traveling and spent a lot of time in Florida. She is survived by one daughter: Linda husband Thomas Braeckel of Franklin, NC.; one son: Thomas wife Debbie MacNamara of Palm Coast, FL.; one sister: Marie Oakley of Nicholson, PA.; 4 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by one grandaughter: Michelle MacNamara Friends called Tuesday, June 7, 2005 from 6-8 PM with a service at 8:00 pm in the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, to be celebrated by Rev. Lynn Tompkins. Cremation will follow at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. A graveside service was held Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 10:00 am in the South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA.
