Hilda S. Botens, 92, formerly of Honesdale, PA. and Zephyrhills, FL., died early Thursday morning at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, PA., where she resided for the past several years. She was the wife of the late Donald G. Botens, who died on May 15, 1994. Born January 31, 1920 in Walker Valley, NY., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Grace Vandermark Scott. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale, PA. She is survived by one son: Gary Botens of Waymart, PA.; one sister: Mildred Lee of Pine Bush, NY.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Robert Botens; one brother: Frank Scott; one sister: Minnie LaBarr. As per her request, she was cremated and no services were held. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Clifford, PA.
