Hester Malinchak, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at her home at Crystal Lake, PA, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 93.

She was born in Paterson, NJ, to the late John and Corina Hoek Goodrich. Hester, also known by her loved ones as "Aunt Terry" or "GG" was known for her enormous heart. She was loving and kind, and she made everyone feel special. Hester liked to host holiday parties and was an excellent cook. She was always prepared for a drop-in visitor and she had many of them. Hester's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her much joy.

Hester was predeceased by her parents; her husbands: Joe and Ted; and her sisters: Jacqueline Goodrich, Doris Newenhouse, Corine Wallace, and Gertrude Kuiken.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Susan McPartland and son-in-law, Kenneth McPartland; son: Joseph Malinchak and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Malinchak; step-children: Mary Jane McCann, Mark Malinchak and Theodore Malinchak; grandchildren: Kenneth McPartland, William McPartland and Melissa Racavitch; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

We will miss our GG dearly. She has influenced our family in so many ways. Life will not be the same without her.

The funeral was held Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Evangelical Wesleyan Church, 1206 State Route 2067, Clifford Township (Lake Idlewild), PA, with Rev. Donald D. Snedeker, officiating. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Viewing hours were held Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2-5 P.M. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
