Henry L. Nagle, Sr., 72, of Simpson, PA, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at home.
Born October 18, 1944 in Kingston, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ruth King Nagle.
Henry was a 1962 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, PA, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the Air Force. He was also a retired member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Company B, 1st Battalion, 109th Infantry, 28th Infantry Division and a member of the Simpson VFW Post 4712. He had been a former employee of Holt Lumber, Carbondale and retired from Clarks Summit State Hospital.
He is survived by three children: Henry Nagle, Jr. and companion Sarah Barney, Christopher Nagle and fiance Melissa Voglino and Michele Nagle and fianc Ryan Fulkerson all of Carbondale, PA; ten grandchildren, Katelynn, Felicia, Steve, Gabby, Brooke, Zoe, J.J., Heather, Jeffrey and Ariel; six great grandchildren: Harper, Natalie, Kelton, Auria, Adaline and Jeremy; his former wife: Florence Nagle of Carbondale, PA; one sister: Edith Mayne of Archbald, PA; one brother: Thomas Nagle of Florida; several nieces and nephews; four step children: James Miller and wife Bernice, Wendy Sweder and husband Matt, Douglas Miller and companion Sandy Fofi and Steven Miller.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son: John Nagle; one brother: John "King" Nagle; and one sister: Darlia Waldsmith.
Friends called Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
Private interment, Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Loyalville, PA, Luzerne County.
