Obituary

Helen A. Gallick, age 81, of Carbondale, PA., died early Saturday morning, May 28, 2005 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of the late George E. Gallick, Sr., who died November 21, 1976. Born March 20, 1924 in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Anna (Baker) Barrett. She was a graduate of Carbondale High School, class of 1942. She was a retired associate of JCPenney Company and for the last 19 years was a volunteer at the gift shop in the Marian Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale, the local AOH and the Ladies Auxillary at Marian Community Hospital. She was a devoted catholic and was faithful to her religion and church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by one son: George E., Jr. wife Cindy Gallick of Carbondale, PA., who she resided with for the past 28 years; one sister: Theresa Wagner of Telford, PA.; one brother: John wife Florence Barrett of Carbondale, PA.; two grandsons: George E., III. wife Wendy Gallick of Sunbury, PA. and Stephen Gallick of Scottsdale, AZ.; one great granddaughter who was the light of her life: Brionna Gallick; three step great grandchildren: Ryan, Zachary Erica Cooper She was preceded in death by two brothers: Bernard and Joseph Barrett; two sisters: Margaret Barrett and Mary Granville The funeral was held Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Tuesday, May 31, 2005 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Pallbearers: Walter Granville, Jr., Thomas Wagner, Joseph Wagner, Edward Kane, William Farber, Joseph Bianco, Jack Keough and Ken Turner.
