Harry F. Falbo, age 74, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA., died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, January 11, 2009 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, PA. His wife is the former Barbara Molinaro.
Born January 9, 1936 in Carbondale, PA., son of the late Carmino and Mary (Sirianni) Falbo.
He was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and served in the US Army. He retired as an assembly line worker from Suckle Corporation, Moosic and also was employed by Eastern Wood Cabinet Factory, Carbondale.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, Panarama Golf Course, Forest City, PA. and was a former member of Elkview Country Club, Crystal Lake, PA. He enjoyed golf, baseball, football and his trips to Atlantic City, NJ.
He is survived by one step son: John Beahan of Middletown, NY.; one step daughter: Geralyn Zazzera of Clarks Summit, PA.; five grandchildren; four sisters: Carmella Falbo of Forest City, PA., Phyllis Leo of Forest City, PA., Rose Konzman of Forest City, PA. and Mary Carbo of Clearwater, FL.; one brother: Santo Falbo of Bethlehem, PA.; several nieces nephews
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Teresa Ross and Margaret Shinoski
The funeral was held Friday, January 15, 2009 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale., celebrated by Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Pallbearers: Jerry Konzman, Paul Debish, II., Rose O'Brien, Carol Suponcic, Skippy Horan, Erin Lynady and Anthony Falbo.
