Harry W. Burdick Crockett, 56 of Scranton, PA., died Monday, May 24, 2010 at home.
Born in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late William P. Burdick and the late Sally Haggerty Burdick Basa.
He was a graduate of Roxbury High School in New Jersey and prior to his disability he was employed as a security guard. He received an honorable discharge from the Army where he served as a private.
He is survived by one daughter: Suzanne Crockett of Meshoppen, PA.; one son: Harry William Crockett of Maryland; seven sisters: Cathy Huber of Binghamton, NY., Ruth Ann Sands of Scranton, PA., Peggy Smith of Mehoopany, PA., Margaret Teribury of Susquehanna, PA., Bobbie Jo Sharts of Sugar Hallow, PA., Donna Brown of Towanda, PA. and Laura Burdick of Towanda, PA.; six brothers: Stephen and Fred Basa both of Binghamton, NY., Ken Burdick of Taylor, PA., Harold Burdick of Parker, PA., William and David Burdick both of Towanda, PA.; step mother: Ruth Burdick of Towanda, PA.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister: Nancy Burdick; a step father: Stephen Basa.
A graveside service was held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Scott Valley Cemetery, Montdale, PA.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
