Harriet Carpenter Wilbur, 93, formerly of Lenox, PA., went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lee A. Wilbur, Sr. Harriet lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Darwin Chapman in Wilmore, Kentucky for the past 8 years, where she was able to spend time with her grandchildren. She was active in the West Lenox Baptist Church in Kingsley for many years, where she taught Sunday school, Bible school and loved to sing in the chior. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by one daughter: Evelyn Chapman and husband Darwin of Wilmore, KY.; one son: Lee Wilbur, Jr. and wife Sharon of Kingsley, PA.; one brother: Forrest Carpenter; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Janice Reynolds; one grandson: Kevin Wilbur. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the West Lenox Baptist Church, Kingsley, PA. Inurnment, Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Local arrangements were entusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
