It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Harriet H. Keim, 84, of Union Dale, PA, who died October 1, 2014. She married the love of her life, William D. Keim, Jr., on December 31, 1949. Born December 2, 1929 in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Urban Smith and Louise Kidwell Smith. Harriet & Bill lived a whirlwind life, traveling all over the globe with their daughters Sandi and Debby, until retiring to Pennsylvania in the 1970's. Harriet enjoyed a rich life with her husband and family always close by. She was known for her contagious laughter, warm hugs and kindness. Harriet was known by many names: oke, mom, grandma, nana, aunt, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family including her children: Sandi Blair and husband Dean, Debby Sanford and husband Steve; grandchildren: Aaron and Courtney Ward, Jacqui Papi, Kevin and Mandy Blair; great grandchildren: Tommy, Emma, Eric, Natalie, Noah, Lawson, Kannon and Maxxen. She was preceded in death by one sister: Jane Lee O'Brien; one brother: Charles Urban Smith. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 5:00 pm from the Herrick Center Baptist Church, Route 374, Union Dale, with Rev. Albert Rodriguez, pastor, officiating. Friends may call Monday, November 24, 2014 from 4-5 pm at the church. Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the church.
