Gwendolyn S. Proctor, 62, of Union Dale, PA. and formerly of Hamilton Square, NJ., died Thursday night, March 26, 2009 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, PA., after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the wife of Timothy G. Proctor, Sr. Born April 9, 1946 in Trenton, NJ., she is the daughter of Nicholas Sauer of Hamilton Square, NJ. and the late Genevieve Marcy Sauer.She received her undergraduate degree from Parson's College in Fairfield, Iowa and attained a master's degree in public administration from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Prior to her retirement, she was the WIC coordinator for the New Jersey Department of Health.She was of the Episcopal faith and was a member of the Elk Mountain Tea Party Club and was an official flagger for the Sports Car Club of America. She loved gardening and the Jersey Shore where she grew up.She was a very loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by one son: Timothy G. Proctor, Jr. and wife Kelly of Hamilton Square, NJ.; one daughter: Tammy Lynne Rogalski of Forest City, PA.; two sisters: Marilyn Roberts of Gouldsboro, PA. and Jacqueline Palombi of Hamilton Square, NJ.; three grandchildren: Nicholas Tozzi, Amanda Cloward and Joshua Zahler; nieces and nephews.A memorial service was held Monday, March 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with Rev. Donald Schaible, rector of Christ and Trinity Episcopal Church's, Forest City and Carbondale, PA., officiating. Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Monday, March 30, 2009 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
