Grace Hunter age 88, of Carbondale died Sunday morning, August 4, 2002 at the Wayne Woodland Manor, Waymart. She was the wife of Gordon H. Hunter who died April 15, 1993. Born August 13, 1913 in Honesdale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Coney) Glossenger. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carbondale. She is survived by three daughters: Edna Pritchard of Melborne, FL., Beverley Hunter of Carbondale, PA. and Thelma Miller of Waymart, PA.; two sons: Roy G. Hunter of Waymart, PA. and Gordon A. Hunter of Blakely, PA.; four sisters: Barbara, Eleanor, Vivian, and Marian; two brothers: Elwood and Donald; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by two sons: James Hunter and Howard Hunter; one great grandson: Ryan Hunter; two brothers: Merle and Henry; three sisters: Helen, Lois and Evelyn The funeral was held Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at 10:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with Rev. Susan Hardman-Zimmerman, pastor of the Forest City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment, East Canaan Cemetery, South Canaan. Viewing was held Tuesday, August 6, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9.
