Grace L. Gillott, of 43 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA. died Wednesday evening, November 10, 2004 at her home. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Gillott who died January 28, 1990.
Born in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Vincenza (Gulino) Caudullo.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale.
She was a wonderful, loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and aunt who was always there with love, support and strength for her family and friends. She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed going to Mass.
She was also an avid world traveler visiting throughout the United States, most of Europe, the Far East and Africa. She served as a trip Group Leader for Lynch Bus Company well into her later years. On route to various destinations, she loved to entertain her group by telling jokes and dancing, especially polkas.
She always took great pride in her appearance and her home. She will be dearly and sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by one daughter: Gloria and husband Charles Scavo of Carbondale, PA.; Her Grandchildren: Charles A. J. Scavo, Jr. and Attorney Cheryl Scavo, both of Alpharetta, GA.; two sisters: Germaine Cerra and Josephine Lopes, both of Carbondale, PA.; Several Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by one sister: Ann Grizzanti and two infant brothers
The funeral was held Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor and Deacon Carmine Mendicino. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Friday, November 12, 2004 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Pallbearers: Peter Paul Gillott, P.J. Gillott, Joseph Lopes, Joseph Grizzanti, Anthony Grizzanti, Jr. and Anthony Grizzanti, III.
