Gertrude Ransom age 89, of RR 1 Box 1142, Nicholson died early Saturday morning October 19, 2002 at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was the widow of Ronald B. Ransom who died June 11, 1976. Born December 7, 1912 in Mill City, PA. She was the daughter of the late George and Maude (Barney) Ross. She was of the Methodist faith and graduated from Falls-Overfield High School, Mill City, PA. She enjoyed sewing, needle craft, and crocheting. She is survived by two daughters: Linda Shively of Brookhaven, PA. and Beverly Madigan of Canton, PA.; one brother: Richard Ross of Nicholson, PA.; 4 Grandchildren. The funeral was held Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 11:00 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford with Rev. Levi Ransom officiating. Interment, Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford. Viewing was held Tuesday, October 22, 2002 from 10:00 am until service time.
