Gertrude "Trudy" Keen, 82, of Jackson Township, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 15, 2023 surrounded by family at the residence of her daughter, Denise, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Keen on November 29, 2015.

Born on December 30, 1940 in Moosic, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Marion Johnson Jones.

Trudy was raised in Moosic along with her brothers and was a 1958 graduate of Moosic High School. She later received her bachelor's degree in education from Marywood College and her master's degree in education from the University of Scranton. Trudy began her teaching career with the Lakeland School District but spent most of her career at John Harris High School. She and her husband resided in Hershey for many years where she enjoyed a life of gardening, bird watching and making her famous Welsh cookies. During their retirement, Trudy and Bob spent many years traveling and fishing together. They were truly a match made in heaven.

She is survived by her twin daughters: Denise (Lloyd) Pease and Dianne (Allen) Miller; one son: Kenneth (Rachel) Keen; six grandchildren: Matt Pease, Kendal (Adam) Henning, Heather (Adam) Soden, Kyle (Stephanie) Miller, Justin (Emily) Keen and Shannon (Wesley) Kolodziej; and her five "Greats" as she loving referred to them: Madison and Tyler Soden; Jordan and Paige Henning and Austin Miller.

Trudy's family would like to thank the kind caregivers and staff at Traditional Home Health and Hospice Care for their assistance and support.

As per Trudy's wishes, she was cremated and her family will hold a private memorial service.
