Gerard J. Mills, 35, of Carbondale, PA. died Saturday evening, May 8, 2004 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, PA. following a courageous battle with cancer. His wife is the former Melody Scioli. Born August 19, 1968 in Levittown, NY. He was the son of the late Peter and Ann Megee Mills. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He was a graduate of Newfield High School in Selden, New York. He worked as a sign technician at MAC Sign Systems in Scranton for the past 1 years. He is survived by one daughter: Heather Mills, at home; two sons: Shawn Mills and Jeremy Mills, both at home; two brothers: Peter Mills of Coram, NY. and Keith Mills of Dickson City, PA.; five sisters: Bernadette Olivencia, Coram, NY., Ann Marie Marconi, Dickson City, PA., Margaret Kramer, Coram, NY., Jeanette Yantz, Babylon, NY., and Irene, Coram, NY.; Several Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by one brother: Paul Mills A memorial mass was held Friday, May 14, 2004 at 1:30 pm in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Monsignor Paul Purcell. Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale.
