Geraldine Korner, age 66, of Carbondale, PA, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Commonwealth Hospice, Scranton, PA. She is survived by longtime companion, John Wayman, Sr., of Carbondale. Born December 1, 1947 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Bradley. She is survived by two daughters: Elsie Korner of Carbondale, PA and Dawn Malpasse of Scranton, PA; two sons: Gerald Korner, Jr. of Carbondale, PA and Robert Malpasse of Pittston, PA; eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son: Daniel Quincy Korner; one sister: Esther Oakley; former husband: Gerald Shine Korner, Sr. Family and friends called Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale. Interment, Jermyn Cemetery, Jermyn, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations were sent to the family.
