Geraldine C. DePaul, 67, of Forest City, PA., died early Saturday morning, May 23, 2009 at home surrounded by her family. She is the wife of Louis F. DePaul of Forest City and the former wife of the late Dennis Gioia. Born June 30, 1941 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Warchol) Perry Prezelski. She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzle books, was of the catholic faith and most of all enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter: Debra Curtis and husband Thomas of Forest City, PA.; one granddaughter: Dena Curtis of Forest City, PA. two great grandchildren: Thomas James Curtis and Arianna Ann Vercruyssen both of Forest City, PA.She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Tiffany Ann Curtis; two sisters: Agatha Perry and Dorothy Pettit.A graveside service was held Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City, PA., with committal rites by Rev. Patrick Albert, pastor of the Forest City Catholic Community. Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
