Gerald A. "Jerry" Tomasetti, Jr., 29, of Carbondale, PA, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at home. Born March 15, 1985 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of Gerald, Sr. and Henrietta Taroli Tomasetti of Carbondale. He attended Carbondale Area Junior Senior High School and was a member of and employed by Heavy Highway Construction Union, Local 158. He was active with the former Ride for Diane charity organization. Jerry adored every minute he had with his daughter, Bella. He enjoyed quads, dirt bikes and sports motorcycles or just going on "the bikes" for a ride with the guys, including his brother. He also liked hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Jerry was a very outgoing, outspoken and good hearted man that would do anything for anyone. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by one daughter: Bella Mea Tomasetti; one brother: Charles P. Bartosavage; one sister: Angelina Stout and husband Robert; one niece: Brianna Bartosavage all of Carbondale, PA; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Henry and Lillian Taroli, paternal grandparents: Jerry and Sharon Tomasetti The funeral was held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. John C. O'Bell, pastor. Cremation followed. Inurnment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Kevin McLaine, Gino Ciprian, Ron Tomasetti, Marcus Lemoncelli, Rob Stout, Charles Bartosavage, Antonio Russo and Paul DuBorgeo. Friends called Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions were made in the family's care to set up a fund for his beautiful daughter, Bella Mea.
