George D. Farley, 79, of Honesdale, PA. and formerly of Brentwood, NY., died Thursday night, March 14, 2013 at Commonwealth Hospice, Scranton, PA. He was the husband of the late Irene Ann Millspaugh. Born March 28, 1933 in Queens, NY., he was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Carllson) Farley. He was raised in Woodhaven, New York and graduated from the Franklin K. Lane High School in Woodhaven. He had been a self employed subcontractor in the construction industry for many years. He is survived by five sons: George Farley of Spring Hill , FL., Gary Farley of Forest City, PA., Gregg Farley of Carbondale, PA., Glenn Farley of Carbondale, PA. and Gene Farley of Carbondale, PA.; one sister: Dorothy Pinky LaBruna of New Hyde Park, NY.; one brother: Richard Farley of Staten Island, NY.; 12 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Robert Farley; one granddaughter: Michele Farley. Friends called Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2-4 7-9 PM at the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
