George F. Clauser, 39, of Carbondale, PA. and formerly of Paterson, NJ., died Sunday morning, December 14, 2008, at the Mercy Hospice Inpatient Unit, Scranton, PA. His wife is the former Tracey Heerema. Born January 21, 1969 in Paterson, NJ., he was the son of the late Lydia Lillian Stansfield. He was a member of the Mainstream Revival Center in Carbondale. He is survived by one step son: Bobby Wilson of Paterson, NJ.; four step daughters: Samantha Rocco, Kristin Osbun, Michelle Osbun and Brandi Osbun all of Paterson, NJ.; one grandson: Michael Rocco of Paterson, NJ.; goddaughter and great niece: Kimora Charlotte Baldwin; three sisters: Louise Chickie Umstead of Elmwood Park, NJ., Frances Slackbauer of Carbondale, PA. and Rose Clauser of Harrisburg, PA.; one brother: Wilbert Butch Counterman of Elmwood Park, NJ.; several nieces and nephews; close friends: Joseph and Jessica Kucharski of Carbondale, PA.He was preceded in death by one brother: Daniel Counterman.A memorial service was held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Carmine J. and Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale. Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.Friends called Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
