Gary L. Watson, Sr., age 63, formerly of Dickson City, PA. and Seattle, WA., died early Friday morning, June 12, 2009 at his son Gary's home in Greenfield Township, PA., after a battle with cancer.Born December 6, 1945 in Scranton, PA., he is the son of Olwyn (Owens) Hughes of Dickson City, PA., and the late Arthur Hughes.He was a 1964 graduate of Dickson City High School and attended Johnson School of Technology in Scranton, PA. He was a machinist and worked for Universal Instruments in Binghamton, NY., Boeing, Inc. and Sieman's Medical Technologies, both in Seattle, WA. He was a member of the Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church in Dickson City, PA. He is survived by two sons: Gary Watson, Jr. and wife Teresa of Greenfield Township, PA. and Greg Watson and wife Rose of Everrett, WA.; two daughters: Gayle Cliff of Carbondale, PA. and Georgette Watson-Harris of Fort Worth, TX.; one sister: Donna Wisneski and husband Leonard of Madison Township, PA.; one brother: Willard Watson of Philadelphia, PA.; seven grandchildren; one great grandson.A private funeral service for family was held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 8:00 PM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA., with the Rev. Sharon Dietz, officiating. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.A public visitation was held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 5 to 8 PM.
