Frieda Lightell, age 98, of Forest City, PA. died Sunday night, March 7, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. Her husband was the late Harold Lightell, Sr. Born December 27, 1905 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late George and Lena (Hahn) Schipf. She was of the Protestant Faith. She worked for the Brooklyn Laundry Company for over 20 years. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting and the company of her dog. She is survived by one son: Harold Lightell of Forest City, PA.; one granddaughter; Several Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Henry and George Schipf; one sister: Mamie Weber The funeral was held Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 11:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with the Rev. Barry Jaggars, pastor of the New Life Assembly of God Church, Carbondale, officiating. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Wednesday morning from 9-11 am.
