On the morning of January 23, 2022, Frederick P. Villella, III., 68, of Carbondale, PA, met Jesus and entered the Kingdom of Heaven. Born November 12, 1953 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late, Frederick P. Villella, Jr. and Jessie Falbo Villella. Fred is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna Villella of Carbondale, PA; their daughters, Jennifer Ann of Greenfield Township and Sarah Marie of Carbondale, PA; a brother, Joseph of Wilkes Barre, PA; and a sister, Donna and husband, Domenique of Brooklyn, NY, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Cynthia Villella of Carbondale, PA. Fred worked as an F&I manager for Tony Domiano Auto for 30 years and made many friendships along the way. After retirement, he became even more active in his church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, lectoring as often as he could at both Mt. Carmel and St. Rose of Lima parishes in Carbondale. For a time, he was involved with teaching religious education to the children of Mt. Carmel Church. He comically referred to himself as a "Jesus freak" and anyone who knew him, knew that nothing was more true. He loved to talk to people about Jesus and he loved to "proclaim the word" as he called it, at church when we would lector. Second only to his love for God, was his love for his family. He often said that his daughters would never really know how much he loved them. In the last few years of his life, Donna, Jennifer and Sarah were devoted caregivers to him. Viewing hours were held on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Arun Lakra, assistant pastor.
