Frederick M. Gillette, Jr., 57, of Carbondale, PA, died Monday, December 19, 2022 at home after an illness.

Born January 26, 1965 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick M. Gillette, Sr. and the late Dorothy Oncavage Gillette.

Fred was retired from the Carbondale Area School District where he had been employed for over 20 years. He will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his dedication to his family, especially his two children. Fred will be missed by his beloved fur family, Rocco and Avery.

He is survived by his two children: Frederick D. Gillette, III. and Stephanie Gillette; his fiancée: Kristy DeHart; four grandchildren: Landen, Asilynn, Levin and Lennox Gillette; his step-son: Jonathan Durling; four sisters: Karen Newcomb and husband, Michael, Debbie Corey and husband Kenneth, Darlene Gullone and husband Frank and Robin Bruno and husband John; one brother: Todd Gillette; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister: Denise Hopkins.

As per Fred's request, he was cremated and no services will be held.
