Frederick J. Gibser of Gibson Township, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 15, 2022. He was born in Susquehanna, PA, on March 28, 1956 to the late Vincent and Jean Gibser. Fred was a corporal with the Pennsylvania State Police for 25 years. He retired in October of 2005. After his retirement, he enjoyed "puttering" around in his vegetable garden and fixing anything that was broken. Fred married Orianne in February 2003. He was a wonderful husband and devoted father to Patrick, Gabrielle, and David. Fred was kind and generous, even known for giving gifts to complete strangers. He enjoyed repairing things for others. His compensation......A chocolate bar! Fred loved chocolate! Fred was a football fanatic. His favorite professional football team was the Rams. He was a diehard fan. Fred, also really enjoyed playing fantasy football with his son, Patrick every year and the weekly phone calls during the games. Fred played the guitar well and could pick up any song and play it. Sometimes, he would play a song over and over until it stuck in his wife's head. She would end up singing the song all day long. Fred is predeceased by his daughter, Gabrielle, and uncle, Edward Gibser. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Orianne, and sons, Patrick, in the United States Air Force, and David (Briana), who works for the United States Postal Service. There will be no viewing or funeral. The family will have a private ceremony at a later date.
