Obituary

Fred J. Rick Tolerico, a resident of Carbondale, PA. died Saturday, Christmas morning at home. His wife is the former Jane Heenan. Born and raised in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Guzzi) Tolerico. Educated in Carbondale Public Schools. He served in the Navy during World War II and received the American Theatre Ribbon and Victory Medal. He was employed as a welder all his life for both the family business and Chamberlain Ammunition Plant. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He is survived by one daughter: Rene' husband Nicholas Pezak of Jessup, PA.; two sons: Joseph wife Mary Lou Tolerico of Carbondale, PA. and Jack wife Carol Tolerico of Simpson, PA.; one sister: Rose Bilotta of Carbondale, PA.; A Special Niece, whom he raised, Kimberly husband Scott Michalek of Greenfield Township, PA.; five granddaughters: Stacey of Nanuet, NY., Amy Jordan of Carbondale, PA., Heather of Jermyn, PA., Kay-Cee Logyn Pezak both of Jessup, PA.; three grandsons: Joseph, Jr. Jordan of Carbondale, PA. and Shane of Simpson, PA.; one great granddaughter: Madison Jordan of Carbondale, PA.; Several Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by seven brothers: Santo Ben, Joseph, Anthony Butch, Albert Doylie, Carmine Carney, Alfred, and Peter Swally Tolerico The funeral was held Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 10:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Mark A. Honhart, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Friends called Tuesday, December 28, 2004 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Pallbearers: Carney Tolerico, Carl Tolerico, Tony Tolerico, Richie Tolerico, Daniel Blaha and Wesley Blaha.
