Obituary

Francis Charles "Boss Man" "Land Lord" Valentine, of Lenox, PA and Cocoa, FL, passed away with his family at his side at Wuesthoff Hospice in Rockledge, FL, on February 8, 2017 from complications with COPD. Born May 27, 1933 in Eynon, son of the late Francis Charles Valentine and Nellie Puza Valentine. Frank was a veteran of the Air Force having served during the Korean War and later went on to become an over the road truck driver for 47 years. He enjoyed listening to country music, dancing to the Polka's, reading cook books and cooking. He was a avid prankster and jokester and was passionate about animals and the outdoors. He loved cars and enjoyed working on them. Frank collected many cars including his pride and joy, a 1956 Desoto, which he took on his journey between homes in Cocoa, FL and Lenox. He was a life member of the VFW and American Legion and enjoyed socializing with his many friends. He loved being surrounded by his family and spent the past 6 years traveling between homes in Cocoa FL and Lenox with his faithful sidekick and partner in crime, his loving granddaughter, Bree. Frank had a long life with many challenges and much strife by losing many homes and farm to fire and burying most of his family, but somehow continued to go on with a smile on his face and putting smiles on the faces of everyone he met. He is going to be greatly missed by his daughter and granddaughters. Your journey here is over. Your family has been waiting for you. Go to them and lift your heart. He is survived by daughter, Barbara Valentine-Tatarka of Davie, FL; granddaughters, Bree Tatarka of Lenox and Heather Tatarka of Davie, FL; great grandson, Collin Tatarka; son-in-law, Scott Tatarka, Davie FL; sister, Genevieve Krisak of Rahway, NJ; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Louise Valentine; daughters, Diane and Lorraine Valentine; granddaughter: Holly Smith; son-in-law, Randy Kilmer; brothers, Baby Edward, Norbert and John Valentine; sisters, Isabelle Ball and Victoria Park. The funeral was held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, PA, celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor. Interment with military honors, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Breann Tatarka, Gary VanVleck, Joseph Valentine, Taylor Gaus, Denise Gaus and Ricky DeNike.
