Obituary

Frank A. Tolerico, 84, of Carbondale, PA., died Friday morning, May 15, 2009 at the Ascera Care Hospice, Peckville, PA., after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the former Elizabeth Ferentine. They were married on April 30, 1949. Born September 25, 1924 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Serafine and Sarah Fabiano Tolerico. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a laborer for many years in the construction industry and he also ran the family coal business which was started by his father. He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 130 and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. He was a former member of the Moxie Club in Carbondale and he was an Army veteran of World War II.He enjoyed going on bus trips to Atlantic City, NJ., and was an avid TV watcher having never missed an episode of Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown and All My Children. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by two sons: Gerald Tolerico of Clifford, PA. and Serafine (Sar) Tolerico and wife Karen of Carbondale, PA.; three grandchildren: Lisa Robinsky of Waymart, PA., Taryn and Karli Tolerico both of Carbondale, PA.; two great grandchildren: Zachary and Mia Rose Robinsky; a daughter-in-law: Helen Tolerico of Archbald, PA.; one sister: Marie Mecca of Carbondale, PA.; an aunt: Giovanna Fabiano of Carbondale, PA.; nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by one son: Frank A. Tolerico, Jr.The funeral was held Monday, May 18, 2009 at 8:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by the Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Anthony Ord, Richard Crowl, Paul Kutch, James Renter, Kevin Fry and Peter Rovinsky. Friends called Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 4-8 PM.
