Frank Daddy Tancredo, age 93, formerly of 22 Gilbert Street, Carbondale died Friday afternoon, October 4, 2002 at the Carbondale Nursing Home. His wife was the former Antoinette Trunzo who died September 27, 1989.
Born September 14, 1909 in Carbondale, PA. He was the son of the late Anthony and Marie (Sansafarina) Tancredo.
He was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale and a previous member of its Holy Name Society.
He was a life long railroader and was employed for 52 years by the D H Railroad before retiring in 1975.
He is survived by two sons: Frank Tancredo of Jermyn, PA. and James Tancredo of Carbondale, PA.; two sisters: Teresa Trunzo of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. and Carmella Fitch of Lake Hiawatha, NJ.; one brother: Anthony Tancredi of Hornell, NY.; 2 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; Several Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by one son: Anthony Tancredo; two brothers: Ralph and Joseph Tancredo; two sisters: Maria Imbalzano and Phyllis Pingarelli; two grandsons: Frank and Anthony Tancredo
The funeral was held Monday, October 7, 2002 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with mass at 9:30 am in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, Pastor. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Mayfield.
Viewing was held Sunday, October 6, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9.
