Frank A. Lynch, age 89, of Greenfield Township, PA. died Wednesday evening, March 24, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. His wife was the former Stasia (Stella) Opalka who died June 20, 1992.
Born February 9, 1915 in Greenfield Township, PA. He was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Kavulich) Lynch.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Church, Montdale, PA. He was a dairy farmer on the family homestead for many years and later owned and operated Frank Lynchs Excavating and Topsoil until retiring. He was a former member of the Greenfield Township Lions Club.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as tinkering with machinery.
He is survived by one daughter: Catherine Lynch of White Plains, NY.; one son: Francis Lynch of Greenfield Township, PA.; one brother: Stephen Lynch of Clifford, PA.; Several Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Opeil and Anna Atamantyk; six brothers; Andrew, John, Paul, Joseph, Thomas and George Lynch
The funeral was held Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 10:15 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Corpus Christi Church, Montdale, celebrated by Rev. William Flynn, pastor. Interment, Our Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
Friends called Saturday from 8:30-10:00 am.
