Obituary

Frank Gleason, 78, of Thompson, PA., died Thursday morning, March 4, 2010 at the Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility, Susquehanna, PA. He was the husband of the former Stephanie Gail Mullineaux. Born November 11, 1931 in Bridgeton, NJ., he was the son of the late Edward J. and Johanna (Gallagher) Gleason. He had formerly resided in Philadelphia for most of his life before moving to Lake Idlewild and than to Thompson. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an auto mechanic for many years. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and later served in the Air Force. He was a member of St. Martin of Tour's Catholic Church in Jackson, PA. He is survived by one daughter: Stephanie Bechtel and husband John of Thompson, PA.; one grandson: Kyle Bechtel. He was preceded in death by his twin brother: John Gleason. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM in St. Martin of Tours Church, 8175 SR 492, Jackson, PA. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Frank's name to The Parkinson`s Disease Foundation,1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or to The Humane Society, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp., PA 18411.
