Frances A. Quick, 77, of Carbondale, PA., died Monday, June 15, 2009 at her home. Born April 18, 1932 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Torch Molinaro.She was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and also attended Luzerne County Community College. She had been employed as a seamstress by the Weisburg Dress Factory and as an examiner for Umholtz Manufacturing both of Carbondale. She was later employed as a salesperson at J.J. Newberry's in Carbondale and was also a nanny for a number of families which included the Armitti family. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.She was a volunteer for Marian Community Hospital and the Red Cross both of Carbondale as well as the Laubach Literacy Tutor program in Clarks Summit, PA. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed ballroom dancing and attending car shows. She is survived by one son: David Quick of Jessup, PA.; one daughter: Dianna Mills and husband Dan of Carbondale, PA.; her companion of 10 years: Paul R. Hambke of Carbondale, PA.She was preceded in death by one daughter: Donna Quick; one brother: Phillip B. Molinaro.The funeral was held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 8:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, senior priest and Rev. Michael Shambora, pastor of the Brick United Methodist Church, Duryea, PA. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Vincent Amato, Charles Mazza, John Usher, Stephen Saltisiak and Robert Maguire. Friends called Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 2-4 6-9 PM.
