Florencia Santos, 97, formerly of 17 Oak Street, Carbondale, PA, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center, Blakely, PA. Her husband was the late Teofilo Santos. Born July 2, 1919 in Havana, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Concepcion (Gonzalez) Gonzalez. She is survived by three granddaughters: Joyce Santos of Carbondale, PA, Michelle Santos of North Miami, FL and Anna Santos; 2 great granddaughters: Gabriella Pedraza and Zoie Dimoudis; one brother: Jose Gonzalez of Cuba; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son: Jose Santos; a brother: Francisco Gonzalez; and a sister: Ana Gonzalez. A visitation was held Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale. A Catholic blessing service was conducted at 5:00 p.m. Cremation followed.
