Florence D. Tuzze, 85, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA, died Wednesday morning, March 8, 2017 at the Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. She is the wife of 61 years of Alessandro "Sonny" Tuzze. Born June 20, 1931 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Maryan and Mary Truskaloski Milewski. Florence was a 1948 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and was employed as a seamstress for Seamproof Company, Carbondale. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale and the Cottage Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary, Carbondale, where she also served as past treasurer. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and enjoyed spending her summers at Newton Lake. She bowled for the Tuzze Trucking Team and was loved and adored by all who knew her. She also enjoyed her time at the casinos. She is survived by one son: Joseph Tuzze and wife Debra of Mayfield; two daughters: Mary Carol Adams and Jean Wormuth, both of Carbondale; nine grandchildren: Joseph, Vincent and Alessandro Tuzze of Mayfield; James Adams and wife Francine of Carbondale; Jovanna Perri and husband Carm of Carbondale; Mariana Brennan and husband Joseph of Carbondale; Ashley Loomis and husband Daryl of Carbondale; Michael Wormuth and wife Erika of Greenfield Twp.; and John Wormuth of Mayfield; eight great-grandchildren: A.J. Adams, Austin Davis, Joseph Brennan, Aria Perri, Rosemary Perri, Dylan Loomis, Eva Loomis, Mason Wormuth, and Baby Wormuth due in June; one sister: Jean Druther of Forest City; two brothers: John Milewski of Michigan and Stanley Milewski of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers: Andrew, Anthony, Chester, Joseph, Albert and Jake Milewski; two sisters: Mary Margavich and Irene Kozuch; two sons-in-law: Tony Adams and Douglas Wormuth. The funeral was held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. James Price, C.P., pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Pallbearers: Joseph Tuzze, Vincent Tuzze, Alessandro Tuzze, James Adams, A.J.
