Florence Swartztrauber, age 81, of Binghamton, NY., formerly of Canaan Street, Carbondale, PA. died early Tuesday morning, July 15, 2003 at the Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY. She was the wife of Gerald Swartztrauber, who died February 11, 1987. Born May 15, 1922 in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lenora (Prebylovitch) Budjack. Her stepfather was the late Frank Talarico, owner of Simpson Motors, Scranton, PA. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of the Ben Franklin High School, Carbondale. She and her husband owned and operated Jerrys Tavern, Jermyn, PA. for many years. She is survived by one daughter: Linda Crocker of Kirkwood, NY.; two sons: David Mallinson of Lockport, NY. and Michael Mallinson of Cheney, WA.; 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by one sister: Marie Wilkins; one brother: Joseph Budjack The funeral was held Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 10:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, assistant pastor. Interment, St. Lukes Cemetery, Archbald, PA. A private viewing was held for the family. Pallbearers: Harold Crocker, James Kominos, David Mallinson and Michael Mallinson
