Florence E. Flynn, 86, of Susquehanna, PA. and formerly of Warren, PA., died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was the wife of Edward Flynn who died in 1990.
Born in Bethlehem, PA., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Florence Hess Palermo.
She had formerly resided in Warren and Bethlehem, PA. and moved to Susquehanna to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter. She was a retired certified nurse's aid and was last employed by Central Care of Warren. She attended the Watson Hill Bible Church in New Milford, PA. and was a member and volunteer at the Lanesboro Senior Center, Lanesboro, PA.
She is survived by one son: Anthony Flynn and wife Karen of Russell, PA.; three grandchildren: Shawna Lynch of Thompson, PA. and Connor and Courtney Flynn both of Russell, PA.; two great grandchildren: Tristan Alleman and Liam Lynch; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter: Carol Alleman and five sisters.
A memorial service was held Monday, September 16, 2013 at 4:00 PM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Pastor James Major of the Watson Hill Bible Church, officiating. Inurnment, Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.
