Everett Kenneth DaVall, went to be with his Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

He was born on July 24, 1948, in Nicholson, PA. Originally from South Gibson, PA, Everett moved to California in 1964 to join the family date business. He graduated from Palm Springs High School in 1967 and continued his education at College of the Desert where he received a degree in agricultural business.

He began his business, Dates by DaVall in the mid-1970's which he continued to operate with his wife, Diane DaVall, whom he married in 1999. He was well known for selling his delicious dates in various Farmers' Markets across southern California. He had many returning customers because of the dates and because people grew to love Everett and his big personality.

Everything was big about Everett, his voice, his heart, and his love for God and others. He enjoyed listening to hymns, watching church services on TV, and sharing memories with family and friends.

Everett is survived by his wife of 24 years: Diane Beverly DaVall; his step-children: Brian Watson and wife, Lorraine, Daniel Watson and wife, Valarie, and Marisa Watson; nine grandchildren; five siblings: Sandra Agnew, Delores DaVall, Jewel DaVall, Cynthia Ackley, and Mabel Davall; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth DaVall and Helen Ruth DaVall; and his brothers: Robert and James DaVall.

The funeral was held Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from South Gibson United Methodist Church, 2839 State Route 2067, South Gibson, PA, with Rev. Annette Zrowka, pastor, officiating. The family received friends on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
