Evelyn Mancuso, 96, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA. She was the wife of the late Anthony S. Mancuso, who died May 15, 1966.
Born July 12, 1924 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor, Sr. and Mary Bruno Dottle.
Evelyn was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. She worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry and retired from the dietary department at the Carbondale Nursing Home. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale.
She is survived by one son: Anthony J. Mancuso and wife, Betty Jean of Carbondale, PA; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother: Victor Dottle, Jr. of Carbondale, PA; and one sister: Betty Corrigan of Carbondale, PA; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter: Georgeann Mancuso; one brother: Joseph Dottle; and one sister: Lillian Piorkowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA., celebrated by Rev. Kevin Miller, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
