Eugene Wagner, age 71, of RD Jermyn, PA. died early Saturday morning, December 27, 2003 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. His wife is the former Rose Elmo. Born May 16, 1932 in Blakely, PA. He was the son of the late John and Stella (Varshefsky) Wagner. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Passaic, New Jersey. He worked for Pacquette Oneida in Clifton, New Jersey for 15 years. He was a member of the Lenoxville Senior Citizens Center and the Tri-County Pinochle Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and will be missed dearly. He is survived by two daughters: Barbara Cruz of Jermyn, PA. and Jeannie Sorrentino husband Gerald of Brick, NJ.; three sisters: Alice Dixon of Liverpool, NY., Florence Oles of Olyphant, PA. and Patricia Zabrowski of Jermyn, PA.; one brother: Joseph Wagner of El Paso, IL.; four grandchildren: Corryn Candice Cruz of Jermyn, PA. and Nicole Jeremy Sorrentino of Brick, NJ.; Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by two sisters: Margaret and Irene The funeral was held Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 4:00 pm in the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, with Rev. Joseph Sitko, pastor of St. Pius X Church, Royal, PA. officiating. Cremation followed at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Tuesday, December 30, 2003 from 1:00 pm until service time.
