Eugene Lovitto, 91, of Jermyn, PA and Carbondale, PA, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA.
Born in Jermyn, son of the late Dominick and Anna Dribnach Lovitto.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW, Post 9885 in Westland, Michigan. He worked for 27 years as a Bartender at Oscar's Restaurant in Morton Grove, Illinois. Up until two years ago, he was an avid bowler and golfer who shot two holes-in-one.
He is survived by two children: Michael Lovitto and wife Erin of Glenview, IL and Patricia Ann Hocker and husband Paul of New Cumberland, PA; a step son: Dale Spanroff of Glenview, IL; a sister: Catherine Kulick of Mayfield, PA; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including, Frank Kulick of Jermyn, PA who was his caregiver.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Kitchura, Elizabeth Angerson, Margaret, Nicholas and Walter Lovitto,
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, Carbondale, PA.
