Eugene E. Fofi, Jr. age 49, of Carbondale, PA. died unexpectedly late Saturday evening, September 4, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. Born December 15, 1954 in Carbondale, PA. He is the son of Rose Marie (Warhola) Fofi of Carbondale and the late Eugene E. Fofi, Sr. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale. He was employed by the City of Carbondale's Department of Public Works for 30 years. He was an avid hunter who loved his family so much, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by two daughters: Jennifer and husband Marc Ostroski of Carbondale, PA. and Michele Fofi of Jermyn, PA.; one son: Joseph Fofi of Archbald, PA.; one brother: James Fofi of Carbondale, PA.; three grandchildren: Marc and Amanda Ostroski and Tyler Fofi He was preceded in death by one sister: Donna Marie Howell The funeral was held Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Rose Of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Mark A. Honhart, pastor. Interment, Our Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Friends called Wednesday, September 8, 2004 from 6-9 pm.
