Eric A. Griffin, 53, of Great Bend, PA, died Monday night, August 31, 2026 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, after an extended illness.

Born March 21, 1973 in Montrose, PA, Eric was a graduate of Mountain View High School, Kingsley, PA, where he wrestled for the Eagle's. At a young age, he was instilled with a strong work ethic having helped his grandparents, David and Betty Cole on their dairy farm. He continued his passion for work as a heavy equipment operator prior to his illness.

An avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a stock car racing enthusiast having enjoyed the sport as both a driver and spectator. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 19 years, Allison Davis Griffin; his two adoring children, Samantha and Christopher; his devoted parents, Danny and Sharen Griffin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Annette Griffin, pastor of the South Gibson United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA.

Viewing hours will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 from 5-8 p.m.
