Obituary

Elizabeth S. Woytowich, 81, of Carbondale, PA., and formerly of Jermyn, PA., died Thursday night, August 16, 2007 at the Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale. She was the wife of Theodore Woytowich, who died November 10, 1982. Born October 13, 1925 in Forest City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Kuchera) Polednak. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother who had a heart of gold. She always showed kindness to everyone even if it was just in her smile. She was always able to find the good in people. She truly enjoyed the time spent with family and friends especially on the holidays when she was able to prepare holiday meals because she loved to cook. She will be deeply missed by all of us but she will be forever in our hearts and prayers. The family would like to thank everyone involved in the care given to her in her final days, especially Asera Care Hospice and the staff at the Carbondale Nursing Home and Marian Community Hospital. She is survived by two sons: Theodore Woytowich of New Holland, PA. and Michael Woytowich of Meriden, CT.; four daughters: Josephine (Joanne) Phillips of Archbald, PA., Rosemary Fox of Mayfield, PA., Kathleen Woytowich and Julie Ogozaly, both whom she resided with in Carbondale, PA.; one brother: Michael Polednak of Crystal Lake, PA.; 8 Grandchildren; Several Nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Robert Woytowich; one daughter: Theresa Ossig; two brothers: Anthony and Victor Polednak. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 9:15 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Mary's Church, 622 Madison Avenue, Jermyn, celebrated by her nephew, Rev. John Polednak. Interment, Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Monday, August 20, 2007 from 6-9 PM. Memorial contributions can be sent to Asera Care Hospice, 749 Northern Blvd., Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Pallbearers: Sons-Theodore Michael Woytowich, Tim Boyer, Bobby Polednak and Mark Polednak.
