Elizabeth "Betty" Mancuso, 76, Carbondale, PA, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025 upon arrival at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, A.J. Mancuso.

Born December 12, 1948 in Carbondale, PA, she was the last surviving child of the late George and Elizabeth Plonski Olsewski.

Betty was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and retired from the Gentex Corporation, Simpson. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. She cherished her role as a grandmother and made many fond memories with her grandchildren as their babysitter.

She is also survived by four children: Anthony Mancuso, Jr. and wife, Roxanne, Diana Obelkevich and husband, James, Beth Higdon and husband, Donnie and Laura Perry and husband, Jim Tom; eight grandchildren: Clarissa Mancuso, Krisa Brennan and husband, James, James Obelkevich, Zack Obelkevich, Deana Mancuso, Caleb Higdon, Gianna Perry and Isabella Perry; five great-grandchildren: Jayden, Emma, Noah, Olivia and Georgia; six nephews and one niece.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Georgeann Mancuso; and five brothers: Lawrence, Thomas, Joseph, Francis and William Olsewski.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Joseph Mosley, senior priest. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Friends called Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church.
