Elizabeth M. "Betty" Estabrook, 93, a former resident of the Montrose Square Apartments, Montrose, PA, passed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, June 14, 2021 at The Gardens of Scranton, ending her long journey. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald G. Gaylord and her second husband, Richard A. Estabrook, Sr. Born March 17, 1928 in South Gibson, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gaylord Entrot and Lula Moore Entrot Calabro, and the step daughter of the late Theodore Calabro, Sr. Betty worked for 21 years at Wilders Clothing and Footwear, New Milford, PA, and had also been employed at Magnetic Labs and the Discount Grocery Store, both of Hallstead, PA, as well as, Matis Lingerie Factory in Susquehanna, PA, and Spencer's Furniture Store in New Milford. She was a 50-year member of the Rebekah's and attended the Watson Hill Bible Church, New Milford. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, traveling and spending time with her friends at the Montrose Square Apartments. Betty was also fond of hummingbirds and butterflies. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at both The Gardens of Scranton and Compassionate Care Hospice for their exceptional care of Betty. She is survived by a daughter: Donna Marie Barnes and husband, Robert of New Milford, PA; a daughter-in-law; Sue Gaylord of Susquehanna, PA; three grandchildren: Shannon Maino, Michelle Mahne and Scott Gaylord; three great grandchildren: Cameron, Molly and Maddie; a sister: Connie Scott and husband, Durelle of Dallas, PA; a brother: Theodore Calabro, Jr. and fiancée, Linda of South Gibson, PA; several nieces, nephews, step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son: Dale A. Gaylord; and two brothers: Richard and Gaylord Entrot. A memorial service was held Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Watson Hill Bible Church, 3878 State Route 492, New Milford, PA, with Rev. James Major, pastor, officiating. Friends called Friday, July 2, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
