Elizabeth Cooter, 81, of Sparta, TN., died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Bethesda Health Care Center, Cookeville, TN. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Cooter. They were married on January 17, 1948. Born January 9, 1929 in Lenox, PA., she was the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Taylor) MacNamara. She was of the Baptist and Presbyterian faiths. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sales clerk for Walmart and Peebles. She is survived by one daughter: Nancy Jacobsohn and husband Russ of Sparta, TN.; two sons: Keith Cooter of Holiday, FL. and Dennis Cooter of Syracuse, NY.; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Mark Cooter; four sisters: Enid Baumann, Margaret Merritt, Lorraine Ferry and Gertrude Runkel; one brother: Carleton MacNamara. A graveside service was held Friday, November 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
