Elizabeth T. Anderson, 86, formerly of New Jersey, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Creekside Health and Rehab Center, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late Andrew W. Anderson, who died April 30, 2014. Born May 8, 1929 in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary McKenzie Sharp. Elizabeth immigrated from Scotland at the age of 30 where she and her husband settled in New Jersey to raise their family. She worked in customer service for most of her life and her last place of employment was Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company, Newark, NJ. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Senior Citizens Club, both of North Arlington, NJ. She enjoyed day trips and walking. She is survived by a daughter: Lynne Gallagher of Sayreville, NJ; a son: Andrew Anderson and wife Lynn of Greenfield Township, PA; two grandchildren: Julie and Justin Gallagher; a step grandson: Jordan Walker; a brother: Robert Sharp of Vancouver, British Columbia; several nieces and nephews. As per her request, Elizabeth was cremated and arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
