Eleanor Grecco, age 86, of Carbondale, PA., died Wednesday afternoon, January 23, 2008 at home following an illness. She was the wife of the late Frank C. Deacon Grecco, Sr., who died October 6, 2005. Born October 12, 1921 in Olyphant, PA., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Dunnigan) Burns. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale. She loved her family, especially her grandson and great grandchildren and also her cat Gabby who will dearly miss her. The family would like to express thanks to Dr. T.J. Craparo, Joan Cerra, Hospice Group, Dr. Mario Sebastianelli and Miss Cindy Smith, a dear friend of the family. She is survived by one daughter: Betty Jean husband Fran Stoklosa of Carbondale, PA.; one son: Frank C. Deacon Grecco, Jr. of Carbondale, PA.; one grandson: James, Sr. wife Susan Stoklosa of Uniondale, PA.; two great grandson: James B. Stoklosa, Jr. and Chris Stoklosa, both of Uniondale, PA.; Several nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Pat Jack Burns; four sisters: Annie Callahan, Olive Wilkens, Grace Dick and Peggy Critelli. The funeral was held Monday, January 28, 2008 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Dessin Animal Shelter, RR 5, Honesdale, PA. or to the Cottage Hose Ambulance Fund. Pallbearers: Chris Stoklosa, Jim Stoklosa, Joe Grecco, Jerry Burns, Vincent Gonzalez and Tom Shearer.
