Elaine M. Cassetori, 84, of Peckville, PA., died Friday morning, January 23, 2009 at the Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late Armond R. Cassetori, Sr. who died February 16, 1990. Born May 18, 1924 in Exeter, PA., she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Shimay) Pestak.She was a graduate of the Exeter High School and was a retired seamstress having worked in the local garment industry. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Peckville. She enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles. She was especially fond of her grandchildren whom she loved deeply. She is survived by one son: Armond Cassetori, Jr. of Peckville, PA.; one daughter: Cynthia Gallick and husband George of Carbondale, PA.; one sister: Ann Lugar of Harding, PA.; seven grandchildren: George Gallick, III. and wife Wendy, Stephen Gallick, Crystal, Heidi, Jason, Jillian and Mary Elena Cassetori and one great granddaughter: Brionna Gallick.; three step-great grandchildren: Ryan, Zachary and Erica.She was preceded in death by one sister: Mary Dente and one brother: Stephen Pestak.The funeral was held Monday, January 26, 2009 at 8:45 AM from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main Street, Peckville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1101 Willow Avenue, Peckville, celebrated by Msgr. Peter P. Madus, pastor. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale. Pallbearers: George Gallick, III., Stephen Gallick, Lawrence Marsili, Americo Vitiletti, Don Cassetori and Michael Cassetori.
