Eileen Sharp, 75, of Nuangola, PA, passed away May 19, 2026, after a battle with lung cancer.

She was a graduate of Exeter High School in Exeter, New Hampshire, and was a varsity field hockey athlete. She went on to study physical education at the University of New Hampshire, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1972 and earning a master's degree in 1980.

She coached many student athletes in field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, and softball. She worked at Wilkes University as the health professions advisor from 1998 to 2016, when she retired.

She loved the beach, the ocean, scuba diving, gardening, photography, and watching women's sports.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Gay Marie Foster; her mother, Charlotte Sharp; and her father, Reginald Sharp.

A celebration of life will be held in early fall. Details will be announced at a later date.
